About Thermaikos Guide

Who We Are

Thermaikos Guide is a local travel and destination guide dedicated to the Municipality of Thermaikos — the coastal area just south of Thessaloniki, Greece. We cover everything worth knowing about the region: beaches, villages, food, nightlife, local wine, cultural sites, and hidden gems that most visitors never find.

Our goal is simple — to be the most useful, honest, and up-to-date resource for anyone planning to visit or explore Thermaikos, whether they are arriving from abroad, coming down from Thessaloniki for the weekend, or looking to discover more about the place they already call home.

Powered by Thessgraphics.gr

Thermaikos Guide is created and maintained by Thessgraphics.gr — a creative digital agency based right here in Thermaikos, Greece. Thessgraphics specializes in web design, digital branding, and online presence for local businesses and projects across Greece.

Being a local agency, we know this coastline personally. We eat at these taverns, swim at these beaches, and walk through these villages. That local perspective is what makes this guide different from generic travel content written from a distance.

What We Cover

The Thermaikos area stretches along the western shore of the Thermaic Gulf and includes eight settlements, each with its own character:

  • Peraia — the liveliest coastal strip, known for summer nightlife, waterfront cafés, and easy access from Thessaloniki
  • Epanomi — pristine beaches, the famous shipwreck, wetlands, and award-winning wineries
  • Nea Michaniona — the fishing port capital of the region, home to the freshest seafood in Thessaloniki
  • Neoi Epivates — a traditional seaside village with a strong Greek identity and quiet beaches
  • Agia Triada — family-friendly, calm, and great for long beach walks
  • Aggelochori — a quiet village surrounded by vineyards and olive groves
  • Nea Kerasia — off the beaten path, authentic and unhurried
  • Mesimeri — a village with Pontic roots, rich culture, and local traditions

Our Editorial Approach

Everything published on Thermaikos Guide is based on direct, local knowledge. We do not copy-paste from other travel sites. Content is written with the reader's practical needs in mind — where to park, what to expect in each season, which beaches are best for families versus those better for quiet solitude, and which taverns actually deliver on their promise.

We update content regularly as the area changes — new openings, seasonal closures, and evolving attractions are reflected as they happen.
